Myrtle Beach - 98.5 KISS FM/WDAI

With POWER 100.3 flipping formats at 10:03am this morning, sister staion 98.5 KISS FM sounds as if they might be stunting too. Now a format flip stunt, but an all music all weekend type of stunt. Another post hinted Rickey Smiley coming to 98.5 Tuesday replacing Tom Joyner. Is this a sign that 98.5 will add hip-hop and become Urban and dump Urban AC?
 
"In addition to the changes on WSEA-FM, WDAI-FM, known locally as 98.5 KISS FM will keep its name but will move from a presentation of Classic Soul and Smooth R&B, to an urban mainstream hits and hip-hop driven station. WDAI will air the Rickey Smiley Morning Show (6 am – 10 am), as well as, Dougie Stylz (3 pm – 7 pm), both moves from WSEA-FM.

98.5 KISS FM will also return to its well known moniker of “The Big Station.”"

So 98.5 KISS FM will become Urban going hip hop with Smiley Mornings and Stylz at 3 to 7pm. Now this will leave Myrtle Beach without a Urban AC.
