Myrtle Beach, SC

When will their be a format change on one of the Myrtle Beach radio stations? I know the last one was Bob-FM on 104.9. But we need another. Myrtle Beach is lacking from what other markets have. We also don't need three stations play some of the same songs either. And those stations are Wave 104.1, Sunny 106.5, and 107.1 The Sound. What else does Myrtle Beach need? Maybe a Urban station as Kiss-FM is a total mess. We need a Z-93 Jamz in Myrtle Beach like Charleston has.

You are right. Their are someother Wilmington stations that come in very well around Myrtle Beach. Yesturday I had on Z 107.5. The other stations Wilmington stations you can hear are Coast 97.3 and 102.7 WGNI.

From what I remember as a teen going to MB GNI always had a solid signal into the Grand Strand... I don't know much about the other Wilmington stations, but I do remember Jammin' 99.9 kinda being spotty the last time I was at The Strand... CC1

Jammin'99 comes in pretty good here on the GS now. I listen to GNI all the time. Sunny106 is never going to change. It's been playing the same format since...forever. I miss Cool 104.9. They played alot of 80's stuff, which I love. BOB FM just doesn't work for me.

;D Ya don't need anything but WNMB-AM playhing that "Beach Muzik"

Ape you know it's funny you mentioned beach music... When ever I get a little homesick up here in the land time forgot Muzak has a channel on Dish Network called Shag Beach... What is scary I will catch myself doing song intros to the music and having flashbacks to WPUB radio where not only did we do oldies, but a good helping of beach music as well... I heard them playing Ms. Grace by the Tymes the other day and for me that song has one of the best intros there ever was JMO... You could do the WX, run to the bathroom hell you could even run to McDonald's and still hit the post flawlessly... CC1

Don't forget 94.9 The Surf.

I'm relatively happy with Easy 105.9/94.5.

I find it strange that Kiss plays so much rap when the started out adult. I would think adult urban is what Myrtle Beach needs. I don't think The Surf is what fans of that music want.

It's my opinion that either Sunny or Cool should have been the oldies station. While I think a station playing softer hits of the 90s and today would be of value, Cool started out with the 70s and 80s, and that's oldies these days. The Surf has the music from earlier days.

Hey Chimp what is scary about Cool er I mean BOB they have almost the same play list as our BOB up here in Rockford has... Our BOB is nothing like the real BOB down in Austin TX... We have a little station just south of Rockford (WRHL) which has Dial Global SAM "Simply About Music", and it puts BOB to shame... I know DG has one of the most awful oldies satellite formats, but When I don't have Sirius going SAM is pretty decent to listen to... CC1
