Myrtle Beach's News/Talk 98.3...What a mess!

Visiting the area over the weekend, and can't believe what I heard. Listening to their overnight show, Red Eye Radio, Friday night I heard several periods of minutes long dead-air, stop sets with two pieces of audio running at the same time and more.

When I tuned in Sunday night at 9:35 and I heard nothing on the signal, audio wise, until an ABC Newscast at 10 PM - no legal ID...nothing until the network feed. That was followed by a station line-up promo and then...at least another 30 minutes of dead air.

Which one America's finest broadcaster's owns this train wreck?

Oops! Just notice typo above...frequency is 93.9.

It is a Cumulus station. This is no excuse but we had satellite receiver issues. We just switched to News/Talk last week. Hopefully we will have all the issues worked out this week.

Cumulus did lease 93.7 and 93.9 to another company for a few months.

They are now actually under the control of Joule Broadcasting.
