MySA article: Recession hits area sports scene

I had no idea that Walter P was still on any radio show. Unless I am misreading the news article, I thought he got canned along with that whinney, annoying little wedding singer Boy George impersonator, when Mike Taylor 'left a major market' to "advance" his radio career in the booming and vibrant economy of our world class, service sector, worker's paradise. But taking into account the overwhelming quality and professional standards that permeate the local (and only) birdcage liner, anything is possible.

He's not. Here's what the article at the link said about him:
"Laid off by: Clear Channel Communications-owned KTKR-AM Ticket 760 in January after nine years.
What he’s doing now: Job hunting."

Sure he's not on radio now, but was he laid off January 2009 or January 2008? If he was on KTKR until Jan 2009, what time slot did he have or when did he appear?

He was doing updates on AM drive on both Ticket 760 and the Blowtorch after Mike Taylor took over PM drive on Ticket. IIRC, it was most of a year since he hosted a show.
