Mysterious NE Jackson signal

I drove around northeast Jackson a couple of times this week and heard music being played on 100.1. The only thing I know about this station is that a sweeper between songs says "The Soundtrack Of Your Life". It sounds to me like a soft AC format as they've played artists like Five For Fighting, Josh Groban, Heart and Toni Braxton. I've been able to pick it up starting at the intersection of Northside Drive and I-55. The signal is strongest around Parham Bridges Park on Old Canton and Ridgewood Rds. As I went further up Old Canton, the signal began fading and it was completely gone by the time I got to Colonial Mart shopping center (where Fred's is located).

Anyone knows anything about this signal?

Could someone have am ill-legal(high powered, not one of thsoe modulator thiniges) transmtiter and rebroadcasting a satelitte channel?

I was thinking mayb a satelitte music network, but to get thsoe.. you have to be an affiliate. I don't see any 100.1 anywhere nearby Jackson with the format you mentioned.
