Mystery: George "Hound" Lorenz on WBLK in "1962"

Good evening,

I have a mystery I'd appreciate help in solving. I recently received in a trade an aircheck of George "Hound" Lorenz on WBLK from "1962." I see the aircheck on a handful of lists, and you can even buy it here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4043111563&category=307

The songlist goes like this:

Movin’ and Grovin’ – Duane Eddy
Give me some lovin’ – Little Richard
Through my heart– Hollywood Flames
Havana Moon – Chuck Berry
Ad for Mayo Brothers Cleaners of Buffalo
Little Richard with WBLK Promo for the Hound Dog Memory Time Show
I can tell – Chuck Willis
Broken Hearted Melody – Sarah Vaughan
Rock and Cry – Clyde McPhatter
Who will the next fool be – Charlie Rich
Ad for Mayo Brothers Cleaners of Buffalo, NY
“Geraldine” Flip Wilson with WBLK Promo for the Hound Dog Memory Time Show.
Creoles rule on a Saturday – Junior Walker
ID – The King of Radio WBLK – Buffalo
Big Girls – The Four Seasons
Jack that cat was clean – Doctor Horse (man oh man this song is too much! Great New Orleans Jazz Jive from the early 60’s)
Shine on Harvest Moon – Betty Carter
Happy Organ – Baby Cortez
Ad for Mayo Brothers Cleaners of Buffalo, NY – One hour cleaning service.
The 4 Tops with WBLK Promo for the Hound Dog Memory Time Show
I go into orbit– Johnny Acey
No More Pain -- Sam and Dave
Some day pretty baby -- Sammy Ward
Worry too much – Junior Reed
A prayer and a jukebox – Little Anthony & The Imperials

The mystery: The 4 Tops promo includes a clip of the song "Bernadette," which wasn't released until 1967, making it unlikely the aircheck is really from 1962.

Is anyone familiar with this aircheck under a different date? The copy I have has a discontinuity just before the 4 Tops come on, so its possible the beginning (through the Tops) is from 1962.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

best,
Eric

Hey Eric,
I just emailed the guy who I got it from, and maybe he can solve the mystery. Good catch on the song!
______________

Many songs in Motown would migrate from artist to artist until one of them had a hit. It is possible, though I do not know, that The Four Tops recorded the song earlier or someone else recorded it and they were using the track from the Motown house band without the other group's vocals.
______________
