I thought some people might be interested in the new MyTV program schedule. I've noted it below from what was released to Tribune Listing Services.

I do have to give the station credit -- it isn't half bad! I've noted information on local programming that was available. It would appear that "My New England" is -- in essence a locally produced paid program.

It's nice to see "The Simpsons" on the daily schedule -- but I would have loved to see it double-run from 10pm-11pm. I suspect it would give Boston's 10pm newscasts a run for their money.

I think this is beginning on 9/12, except for the "My New England" shows. That's what my Tivo listings (which are from the Tribune service) are reflecting. Bummer that "Perry Mason" is being moved to the same time "Judge Judy" is on CBS4. What is "Eye For An Eye" - anyone know?

More of the same old same old.

Prediction within a year it will go all informerical or home shopping.

so much for my ideas of Bowling in HD, uncut movies (after 10pm,where FCC guidelies ALLOW for this) and NO INFORMERCIALS!

It's a low-quality court show starring Judge "Extreme" Akim. Online at http://www.eyeforaneyetv.com.

I'm a little disappointed in this line-up, I was hoping for better.. this just seems to be a "re-shuffling" with a couple news shows mixed in. In order to even show up in the ratings, they need to do something major. I doubt this will make much difference, but we shall see!

Someone has to pay for all those station improvements. Lord, knows
their ratings won't have advertisers knocking on their door.

Diane Sutter should've resurrected the old V66 format. Now that
was innovative local programming.

I've seen some of the new promos this weekend. All I can think of is Hub66. How soon before all the "My New England" slots are filled by local auto dealers from the weekend block? My suggestion to everyone is to run tape/disc because this may go away real quick.

While I hope you're wrong, I fear you are exactly right on this. I wish WZMY luck, because they have a long uphill climb ahead, and their new schedule doesn't look a whole lot different from the old WNDS. Hub 66 (and V-66 before it) was pretty darn good, but I guess profits in local TV programming are hard to come by.

Oh my eyes! Kato Kaelin is in this mess. Now there's one name from the past we didn't need to hear from.

I had thought that WHUB, along with it's sister stations (WAMI Miami, WHOT Atlanta, KSTR Dallas) were all successful, but Barry Diller just decided to sell out to Univision.

When it all happened, I recall USA Broadcasting being close to launching the New York City station(s). There's a very good website about the Miami affiliate, online at http://www.ke4qpf.com/wami/

Regarding WZMY, they can attempt whatever they want to market the station, but at the moment, Channel 50 is a New Hampshire station trying to target Boston while retaining the NH audience. Dollar Bill's junk store and the car dealer programs aren't seen on any credible stations, they're only on WNDS and Channel 68, whatever it's callled these days. Though the infomercials clearly make the money, it makes the station just look trashy.

In addition, I know of two cable systems that both get grainy-looking feeds from WZMY, and I'd bet that this has to do with how far the Boston area is from Derry. So that's not in their favor either.

I want WZMY to succeed. I just don't see it happening with the budget, location and signal.
