N.O. Radio Is Stagnant?

Where's the fun in N.O. radio these days? It sounds like radio has been beaten down by the storm. I have been back in N.O. for 2 weeks after being away for 3 years. Is there anything worth listening to?? It's really boring from what I've heard but I haven't listened to all the stations.

I don't know if your thing is music or Am talk or sports. But as far as talk is concerned you have to get up early to get anything decent. I more or less prefer the syndicated shows but we have so few now. Not only that the stations seem to sync up local hosts and sports so if you can't stand either you pretty much don't have much to listen to. Asher, Warner and Robinette suck in my opinion, asher being the most cadaverous host i've ever listened to. What ever happened to Ed Butler? There was a local guy with a great show. And what's the deal with sports, it seems like when it comes on it hit all channels simultaneously for maximum saturation. Sometimes if lsu isn't having a game i can go to air america, but that gets venomous fast. I dont' get much entertainment value listening to how much george bush looks like an ape 4 times a minute.I long for the old days of Dr. laura's trainwreck show. Or Bill O reilly's constant controversy. If you want that your either going to have to podcast or get XM as somebody suggested.

Ed Butler died in the aftermath, but not because of, Katrina. His obit was in the TP in October or November.I dunno, all offerings in New Orleans radio I've heard since I've been back are dismal, in both talk and sports...and alleged music. Robinette is about as enjoyable as a funeral director. Then on the music scene you have Washup and Johnson. God, radio here is horrible. Where's the entertainment??

Just a couple of prima donna divas who haven't been funny in years. They just want to inflict their political opinions on people. As for Zag and Hydrant or whatever their names are that did the train wreck on 106.7, any morning show that laughs about drumroll sound effects are not good enough to be on morning show radio. Besides it's not right for a program director to do the morning show for a lot of reasons, except in really small towns. I can't decide who's worse--train wreck no talents, RRyan show, W&J, CJ & Monica. They all suck, heavily.Tommy Tucker, please! Radio has enough hotheads. We don't need him either. :p
