Some excellent points and questions you bring up! I would like to see more opinion from other RInfo members on your thoughts. I too would like to see the subject about "sounding" black, white or whatever, commented on from a programming perspective. No doubt a station wants their jocks to fit their format, but are they researching the market first to determine what listeners expect, or are they pushing and imposing their ideas of a jocks sound to try to influence or perpetuate change?
Real food for thought here radio people...and Frank started it all. Great post!
