A simple mistake....it will be reduced or eliminated...the issue was the station, when I bought it, had a three year renewal instead of 7 yr as normally issued...and I forgot about that...missed it while trying to repair the transmitter after the failure in Feb...and then the CDBS took over a week to allow me to file it for some reason...oh well, it's not a biggie

No, they did not "go easy" on him. They applied the standard non-filing penalty, but reduced it because the filing was late, but took place before the expiration of the license.
