Name of KOOL-FM DJ?

I'm racking my brain and out of cycles.....need help. ;D

This guy was on during the morning on KOOL-FM sometime between 1988-1993 and had a British accent. Kind of low-key and easy to listen to. I remember he had some sort of machine that could alter his voice into just about any sort of special effect he wanted.

I think his first name was Mike or Michael (but don't take that to the bank).

Anyone???

I think his last was Rose...maybe not. Your best way to find out would be by asking Tom Peake at KOOL since he was there during that time period.

How about Tim Rose?

While I don't recall his being on KOOL (he could have, as they had so many
AMD voices between Dave Munsey and Bill Gardner, including Peaker several
times), I do remember him doing mornings on 99.9 (were the calls something
other than KESZ then?) in the pre-Beth & Bill days.

...that would be Classy 100 with the very British and proper sounding Tim Rose. Whenever Nurse Jeff and I listened, we felt like moving the steering wheel to the right hand side of the Gremlin!

Now more of it comes back to me.

"Classy 100 is KLZI Phoenix"--did they use that for a TOH liner?

Besides Tim Rose, I'm thinking maybe Bob Glasco (PD) middays
and Marty Manning in PMD. Evenings, overnights?

That doesn't sound like the voice I remember but I'll send an email to the Peaker and see if his memory is better than mine. Thanks for the suggestion!

Well, I stand corrected. Peaker says it was indeed Tim Rose. Like a previous poster said, Tim was at another station before KOOL then went into the British car business in Phoenix.

You guys obviously have much better memories than I do!

Thanks! :)

Dunno about that.. but the Nurse and I certainly have more time to waste listening to Valley radio ;)
