Name this song - help!

I am looking for the name of the song that was some sort of hit in the mid 1960's and contained the line: "...Oh, the younger girls keep roving cross my mind, no matter how much I try, I can't seem to leave the memories behind."

Apparently I have left my memory behind and I can't remember the title or who performed it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks very much for the help.

The Hondells version of Younger Girl charted on 11-10 KRLA in Los Angeles at number 7 in the last week of May 1966. Outside of L.A. chances are you never heard that one. The national hit by the Critters was not played in Los Angeles. I do recall hearing the Spoonfull's a few times in L.A.
