Any ideas which market and which Christian AC this is?

FM TALKER / TOP 100 MARKET
I believe no idea is a bad idea and we believe strongly in brainstorming. So lets put our heads together and solve this:

We have an FM station flipping from Christian/AC to Talk. This new station will NOT be CHRISTIAN talk, or Christian in any way after we flip it, this will be an aggressive topical, pop culture talk format, we are about to close on this property and that's why the change is occurring. It is in a really nice location and this Top 100 Market is ready and ripe for the picking.

We are soliciting for ideas for this FM Talker, as we will be live and LOCAL 6a-6p.

Got an original show that will blow this city up with water cooler chatter? Why are you different? We are looking for a PD, as well as Morning Show, Split Mid day shifts (9a-noon, noon-3p) and PM drive talker. Do you fit the bill? If the answer is yes, then YOU are the one we would like to hear from.

At this time we are only asking that you reply with your ideas and thoughts, in proposal form. NO AUDIO please. If we like what we read we will contact you back for audio. Please no web links, as we will need to print out your materials to sit down with all involved to review.

Sounds like what Cumulus HAS ALREADY DONE with The Song in Indianapolis, formerly owned by Susquehanna. However, its programming is satellite-fed stuff. I don't think Indy's main talk station, WIBC-AM, is losing any sleep over the change.

WVFJ is actually doing okay in the areas that they have a great signal because the Fish has signal issues in the same areas. By using the term top 100 market I doubt they mean Atlanta because we are a top 10 market.
 
Yeah, my guess is that this market is in the bottom 50 of the top 100.

Otherwise they would have said...top 50...20...etc.
 
There are not that many commercial christian AC stations owned by secular companies. Then you have to think what stations have been sold recently. My guess is KKSP 93.3 Little Rock. Little Rock is listed as market 85 according to radio and records.

Somehow that wouldn't surprise me. The times I've heard them on the web it sounded like most of their programming was from a satellite, and I've had the impression that this could just be filler until they find another format they think will make more money.

I just think it's a funny post....

Who would reply to a blind box ad and tell some stranger all their great ideas for a radio station so the GM can just steal them and take credit?

You know, I was thinking the EXACT same thing about anyone responding to that with intellectual property.

I mean, why would I (assuming I was a news-talk mind with aspirations) be so rash as to send my great ideas to someone who hasn't even identified themselves.

Kinda interesting.
