Names mentioned for co-anchor spot for 5 PM newscast on FOX 29

Personally, I'd like to see Kerri-Lee do the newscast, just because she's a familiar face of FOX29 and will probably grab those that watched her in the morning. It seems like its been forever since this newscast was announced, and I'm pretty sure i heard launch dates from last winter, to this summer, to now January. But then im guessing that set constriction has to do with launch date (obviously). Then comes the case of the impending O&O look, which is as dumb as the CBS mandate. Yeah, destroy a station's identity just for corporate symmetry! yay!

And Shawn, since were all sharing our opinions here, why dont you share yours? (BTW, we're talking about the new 5 PM show, not the 10. PHL doesnt come into play here.)
 
I think it's a great idea that Fox 29 has decided to start a 5:00 newscast. I'm surprised they haven't done this sooner. I just wish they would make up their minds about the launch date! Kerrie Lee would be a good choice for an anchor. From what I have seen, she does a fine job. Is this impending 5:00 show going to be a 30 minute newscast or a full hour?

WFXT in Boston started out with a 30-minute 5:00 news (with very low ratings)...then expanded it to an hour. I'm not sure how their numbers are now.
 
I hope they start out with a full hour newscast. Why go all out to launch an evening newscast thats just a half hour? If they want to compete,they need to be an hour long Same with the new first news at eleven. I think they can sacrifice some of their syndicated crap for news.

It would be nice if "K.L" does get consideration. I think that she does a great job anchoring, regardless of which timeslot she is in. She is a familiar face to those in Philadelphia, and she does have that "likability" factor in her favor. If she does get it, I would miss her on "Good Day" in the morning. I think that both her and George Mallet have great chemistry working together. (I guess that she would still do the 11 A.M. news with George.)

If Kerri-Lee does get the position, then who would do "Good Day Philadelphia" with George from 5-7 A.M? Sharon Crowley? Sheinelle Jones? Just a thought.
