NASH FM NEPA Changes?

Does anyone think Cumulus will make changes to their NEPA stations in light of their new Nash FM initiative including possible frequency swaps, etc. I'm betting that at the very least JR becomes Nash 93-7. Thoughts?

93-7 is strong enough in the metros to do well. it also has a better signal in Hazleton than froggy. Even with a weaker signal, with the right promotion and a good enough format, it could be a contender. Country in NEPA cannot be a mix of old and new (unless you consider old after Garth Brooks arrived). If they flipped it to 97-9 it would do much better.

Could the 93.7 signal be good enough or be made good enough to actually go against Froggy?

This is where a 93.7 / 94.3 would have made sense but Cumulus would have to spin off a signal to remain under the cap (I think). They should consider a 93.7 / 95.7 simulcast; then use a 97.5 translator rebroadcasting an HD signal from Magic to create 97.1 /97.5 for BHT (kinda like FUZ'S HD feed on 106.9 using Rock 107's translator to rebroadcast the HD signal onto analog 102.7.

That being said NASH would be a good fit for SJR. If Cumulus is going to do lots of marketing it would only help SJR to jump onto the NASH bandwagon.

Up here in New Yawk, it seems like when a Country music fan has a favorite station, they will stick with it. The frog has consistently led the ratings. I'm not saying that they don't need competition, which is good, but getting a country fan to switch is a tough deal. Should be interesting. Is Nash programming on the bird or is it live and local???

oldies4ever ;D
