Nash FM Still On Automation Evenings and Weekends

Nash FM 94.7 continues to have no DJ for 7pm-12 am weeknights. Saturdays are totally on automation. On Sundays, American Country Countdown (aired twice) is the only show.
Nash has now been on the air for almost 7 months. Does anyone recall whether other stations in New York that had aired new formats for a similar period of time still had such large blocks of time without DJ's?
BTW, I have read that evenings are the daypart when Nash has the largest amount of listeners. Perhaps a considerable portion actually like the fact that there is no talk during that time period. Listeners can be ambivalent whether they want people talking on music stations.

It is somewhat surprising, since CMT Radio Live with Cody Alan is carried by other Nash FM stations, as well as many if not most of the other Cumulus country outlets.
Perhaps Cumulus has something else in mind for the 7pm-Midnight timeslot on Nash in New York.

I'm also surprised they don't air Cody Alan. I thought that would have a no-brainer. Aside from Cody Alan, though, I don't think anyone wants to hear any DJ's.

There's something about the music and attitude of the format that, in my opinion, doesn't mesh well with someone interrupting all the time to talk up a song. Although I think a little bit of country music news, traffic and weather once an hour wouldn't hurt. Very very light talk and focus on the music, IMO.

I don't think they even need a morning show or anyone in the morning. An afternoon DJ is good I think, and more tolerable than an actual morning show. It adds just enough "life" to where the station doesn't sound COMPLETELY automated like an ipod. As long as it's not too much talking, each time keeping it very short quick. But people just really want to hear the music, in my opinion. I don't think anyone would really tune into this station just because of an amazing DJ on there. If they're tuning in, they like the music already. Adding a DJ/personality is a little bit of a gamble. I think in the case of morning drive, it actually hurts them. Those are just my opinions.

Nash does keep the music flowing even when the midday and afternoon dj's are speaking, and their remarks are usually brief. And that is probably good.
So I was rather surprised that the station added a morning show with lots of chitchat among several personalities, and not very much music.

I'm surprised they don't carry CMT Radio Live with Cody Alan like sister station KICKS 105.5 in Danbury.

Or even on Poughkeepsie's "The Wolf" where they carried "CMT Radio Live" or they pre-empted for Yankees baseball when it is simulcasting on 94.3 and 97.3 from a WCBS-FM HD2 feed, or running a weeknight block of brokered programming.
