Nashville Gets Its THIRD CHR (!!!) - I-106

http://www.i106hits.com/ I-106 Nashville http://player.cumulusstreaming.com/play.aspx?wnfn-FM 128 K

Cumulus-owned Sports stations 106.7 The Fan just flipped to CHR/Pop a little earlier today. The music mix is exactly the same as that of the new I-94 Indianapolis, but you know what? They both actually sound pretty good for Cumulus CHRs. They're much more Rhythmic and Current friendly than Atlanta's Q-100.
So let's see, we now have heritage 107.5 The River, an excellent CHR/Pop station.
We also have the Rhythmic leaning 102.5 The Party, and I'm loving their current sound as well. Mediabase now classifies them as Rhythmic CHR, but with records by the likes of Taylor Swift still in regular rotation, and with Jackson Blue's Party Playhouse at night, this is still a CHR/Pop station (of the kind found in a number of major markets)
All 3 CHRs have their own sound, and yet all fall under the CHR/Pop category for me.

Actually, I-106 might have the weakest signal of the bunch. It's only 3000 watts strong. The signal is atrocious in many parts of Williamson County, the wealthiest county in the state, and the third most populated county in the Nashville area.
