What are you talking about? Jack-FM is in 11th place!
FM really hadn't come into its own in the '70s. That was kinda the point that I was making in the "live and local" thread. My former station in the early '90s was still using equipment that I am sure dated from the '70s. We had the carousel of commercials on carts, but our music was from reel-to-reel tapes! What was amazing about this is that Broadcasting Supply West out of Seattle was still supplying us (and apparently other stations as well) with music on reel-to-reel tapes in 1992! From a listener standpoint, I couldn't tell that the music was on reel-to-reel tapes, but it still amazed me that not only were we still using reels in 1992, but that someone was still servicing us with them!deltas69 said:maybe 92Q was years ahead of its time with the carousel of tunes in the mid 70's..but is indeed sad it's come to this... :'(

They haven't done that in years! But I agree with you, we need the '70s music back! Delilah is on seven nights a week now!fireworks said:Speaking of '70's, what ever happened to 70's Saturday Night? I thought that was a nice little extra for the weekend, a break from the soft rock as well as a break from Delilah. Is Delilah on Saturday nights now, and do we need that much of her???

You're asking the wrong people. Ask the public if they care.
