Nashville's "Jack"

another V.H. early success story- #3 in adults in Nashville's Spring book.
And, actually, their move was a win/win- the station that took Oldies (WRQQ)
also did very well (better than they ever did with their preivous AC format).

Good for 96.3 (Jack) and South Central. I'm glad to see that their move paid off.

By the same token, it's also nice to hear that WRQQ found success as well. 96.3's Oldies format was very much 60s/Motown based, whereas WRQQ had a much more 70s based playlist (allowing it to appeal to some of the younger end of the 25-54 demo). Plus, with Nashville not having a Classic Hits station, WRQQ can bring in listeners who otherwise might tune in to a station with that format. Agreed that it's a win/win.<P ID="signature">______________

Oldies 97.1 (WRQQ for those unfamiliar) started out that way in their first few weeks alternating almost every other songs '60s/'70s. But these days they are playing about three or four '60s for every one '70s song.
