Nashville's Morning News

All this week 99.7 had a newsblock in AM drive they called Nashvilles Morning News. Ron Jordon anchored and it sounded very good. However, on Friday I heard a promo where Steve Gill said he would return on Monday. Does this mean NMN is over?
Edited by Donman on 01/07/06 08:21 PM.

They good alwasy move the newsblock to 106.7. Heaven knows that station isn't doing anything worthwhile. This is a pipe dream, but they could make 99.7 all talk, and 106.7 news, and traffic. I know it won't happen, just a thought.

Maybe I heard a different Nashville's Morning News. The one I heard was uninspired. Very flat sounding and no production value at all. If WTN keeps it up they'll see their numbers go down.
Edited by TruThdeTecTor on 01/08/06 07:04 PM.

Normally, WWTN has used William Bennett's "Morning in America" show in place of Steve Gill when the latter is away. But with the WAMB switch about to occur, perhaps they can't do that anymore with Salem shows, so they went with the news block.

WLAC has done morning-drive news blocks in the past and been somewhat successful with them. From 1994-95, theirs was called "Nashville's Morning News."

I'd like to see an all-news station in Nashville. Right now, one has to go online to hear that format.
