Natasha Gone from KOMO/NWA?

Heard a rumor she was gone, and sure enough almost all references of her are missing from the KOMO website...

A bit surprising, certainly not their worst on-camera talent.

Actually, I'm not surprised a bit.

I agree Curry certainly wasn't the worst at KOMO (that award goes to Jenni Hogan, who uses her Australian accent on about every other word she speaks). But Curry was one-dimensional - she didn't have credibility as a reporter and as an anchor, she came across as rigid and insincere (unless the story wasn't on the "lighter side" of the news).

She'd be a good fit on Evening Magazine or something similar - but even those kind of shows are going the way of the buggy whip.

Glad to see Molly Shen going five days a week and getting more airtime. She's always been the best on the station, IMHO. I hope this is permanent! Who's replacing her on weekends? Please not Denise Whitaker!

KOMO/4's recent announcement that "Northwest Afternoon" would be ending its 24-year year run in August apparently rendered "NWA" co-host Natasha Curry expendable. Curry, pictured, also co-anchored KOMO's morning newscasts with Mike Dardis. She has left the station and will be replaced on the morning news shows by do-everything anchor Molly Shen, a KOMO spokesman said. Curry, who finished in the top 10 at the 1998 Miss USA pageant, joined KOMO in January 2007.

With Northwest Afternoon going away, look for an increase of the "OMG...KPLZ is teh suxxorzzz b-cuz Kent departs the building at 10:01 a.m." posts.

Just shows how hard it is to replace morning talent...

Since Margo Myers left, KOMO's been through Denise Whitaker (who was hired specifically to be Margo's replacement), Elisa Jaffe, Molly Shen (who should have been given the job to begin with), Natasha Curry, and now back to Molly.

Denise Whitaker is just plain awful. Why they brought her in from out of town is a total and complete mystery! ::) ::)

Denise is not awful. In my modest opinion she just needs more edge.

How can Kent possibly survive finacially without NWA money? Poor guy.

How about Cindy Rhinehart? Steve Wilson? Almost Live fame. Cindy's logged many years with 4. Good luck to all. Cindy should open a diner and keep doing the soap stuff. Maybe Cindy's Soap lunch Box Spot?? Kinda funny? Maybe not.

BTW, I did watch and you do good soaps too Kent!!

Isn't that how Kent got on NWA in the first place - as a sub for Cindi on the soap reports?
