Natasha Stenbock - on the beach?

A few weeks ago there was a discussion on another forum about the possibility the Natasha Stenbock would depart KFMB-TV CBS-8 in San Diego. TVJobs.com is reporting today that Natasha is "on the beach". The News8 Weather Team only shows Matt and Shawn.

There are all kinds of story surrounding Natasha Stenbock and KFMB, but mostly that they needed to eliminate one more body. Natasha did their 5, 6, and 11 a.m. news shows, as well as did KFMB's sister station KFMB-AM 760, which is a flamethrower of a signal, but is programmed primarily with extremely right wing conservative syndicated talk shows. They have their morning show which is a trainwreck with Rick Roberts who is also very right wing. KFMB-AM in morning drive utilizes ABC News in New York talent to read the news. The number of commercials on the station is very high, almost to the point of being unlistenable.

It is no secret that KFMB-TV is in big money trouble, as are the rest of the San Diego TV stations. All of the station big boys used to each have their own helicopter, now KFMB-TV shares it with NBC 7/39 and KUSI.

Rumors are now going around that CW 6 (which used to be the FOX affiliate until last August), is now going to dump their entire news department. Eric Collins, one of their better reporters and fill-in anchor is now gone, as a bunch of other reporters/anchors who were associated with what was FOX 6. (Channel 6 is owned by a Mexican broadcasting which also programs XHDTV Channel 49 which is San Diego's MyTV affiliate.)

These are VERY tough times for the TV stations here in Dago.

SDRadio.net reported yesterday that Kimberly King, formerly with KNSD NBC 7/39 (did I get all the sponsors in there) is joining KFMB-TV to be the morning weather personality. So if they needed to loose headcount, why would they hire another new head?
