National EAS Test

Looking at several posts in other areas, it looks to me that there was significant problems with yesterday's test, including us.

None of the PEP stations in Florida received the test from FEMA. so it was not relayed to the LP1 stations.

That's comforting considering"...that in the event of an actual emergency..."

Well that’s not good at all; thankfully this was just a test, but as WSLS said, it if had been an actual emergency; that would have disadvantaged many people, not everyone has a smart phone or even if they do; not everyone has cell coverage......this is where OTA radio (and that should include the LPFM’s) was can shine but only if the emergency systems are working .

Oh oh, can't escape from the SJWs out there! :)

To expect perfect results from a government program is naive at best.

With that said, a test of any kind will show up the discrepancies and that was what was desired.
A perfect test is NOT what they were looking for. What could be learned from that?

The FEMA test is a step ahead of New Orleans of 10 years ago who didn't even have drivers for all those busses sitting in the flooded parking lot.

Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!
