I've been reading on Radio and Records.com about the Clear Channel layoffs nationally. It is interesting to see the number of times these staffers are being replaced by voicetracking. I am also happy to see that so far, Tulsa has been able to avoid the hatchet job at CC. I have hope that some day, some day, the public will realize that their radio stations and the personalities that they enjoy aren't even in the building for the most part. But I think this is wishful thinking, and further, I'm not so sure the public even cares anymore. It's a sad state of affairs for a business that used to matter to people--and was so much fun to be in.
