It seems people want it all here. SO what if the Loop doesn't play what everyone else does... Isn't that a complaint most people have? Every station sounding the same, playing the same songs as everyone else??? Isn't it a good thing that a station plays different songs than everyone else?
Business wise, the Loop needs to play the classic rock songs more than the newer stuff because advertising wise, it appeals to a slightly older demographic which advertisers like. More advertisers like 25 or even 35 to 54 than a younger demographic. The older demo brings in way more money on the average. Of course there are a few exceptions, but that's what they are, a few.
