Natural Music vs RCS Selector & Linker

Does anyone here have any experience with the Natural Music scheduling software? And has anyone transitioned from RCS Selector & Linker to Natural Music? We're looking for a less expensive alternative and Natural Music was recommended by one someone in tech support at the company that makes our automation system. We're mostly looking to schedule only non-music events such as recorded shows, promos, ID's, liners, etc. Any other suggestions or recommendations?

Thank you in advance for your replies and feedback.

The best system on the market is MusicMaster period. If RCS is overcharging you - and they probably are - you should look into MusicMaster. They won't try to sell additional modules like Linker because it schedules music and non-music elements alike. Look into it: www.mmwin.com.

Another advantage is that by using MusicMaster you are not feeding the Blob.

Still another: the whole MusicMaster team consists of some of broadcasting's nicest people.

On top of that, the product is incredibly good.

I used Natural Music just long enough to know that it is junk. It has no regard for rules or any logical flow to music whatsoever. Check out Music 1 for a good low-cost alternative as well. Also see if RCS can put you on a barter contract. They won't do it everywhere, but they might be able to work with you.

I recommend Music Master for Windows, too. It's a straight buyout and will work perfect for scheduling non music elements.

The last time I inquired with the MusicMaster folks, the program was no longer buyout. They wanted something like $1,800 / year from me.

As far as Natural Music not following the rules, I'm not having that problem. It's doing exactly what i set it up to do.

I'm another firm believer in Music Master. It's at all of our clusters. We went first and it was a buyout then... They also let me buyout the site upgrade to Version 5.
