Nautel VS 2.5

But Les, you hardly ever get to work on a Nautel.

My troubleshooting skills are fading due to lack of exercise. Thanks Mother Nautel!
 
Repair procedure for Harris DAX:

Isolate defective module, power down rig, remove module, box it up, send it to Big H with your credit card handy.
Enjoy reduced power if you're lucky while waiting eagerly for the box from Big H.
When rebuilt replacement arrives from Big H, install, fire up rig and hope the replacement module don't go kablooey.
Enjoy dead air or getting your backup rig to power up while waiting for Big H to get you parts between Step 1 and Step 2 if the main board goes Tango Uniform while you're wondering what in the Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo is going on.

Repeat, rinse, and Lather.

I'll take Boringly reliable Mother Nautel or the Other Make from Quincy.
 
Only problem with Nautel these days is SALES support. Sent an email over a week ago with a quick reply that I would hear from someone tomorrow. No call, no email. Guess the things work so well they can't keep up with orders.
