NBA Finals Coverage

Is there a local station carrying the NBA on ESPN radio feed of the NBA Finals. Did KESN block any station from carrying the national radio coverage? Also, is the Dallas Mavericks Radio Network in play with the Finals, or did the NBA mandate that the affiliate stations had to take the NBA on ESPN Radio of the Finals.

My ESPN affiliate (as well as a nearby affiliate) did carry the game.

Is KESN the Mavericks' affiliate? My guess is that if they are, they probably have some kind of protection to block other stations in the market from airing the game. Just last week, the ESPN station here didn't air the Braves/Reds Sunday Night Baseball game because the Braves have an affiliate here.

I've also wondered if ESPN stations can opt out of NBA and MLB coverage. Every ESPN station I've listened to carry the games, unless it conflicts with one of the featured team's affiliate (like the aforementioned baseball game).

KESN is ESPN's O&O in Dallas and they're the ESPN Radio affiliate and the Mav's flagship. ESPN Radio is feeding the Finals on their main channel so unless the station can find alternate programming, they're carrying the game. I don't know what the NBA finals broadcast rules are, I know the MLB and NFL only let the flagship carry the local feed with their affiliates the first right of refusal with the national feed.

From what I read on the d/fw radio board, the ESPN/Mavericks Radio network is in play.

Now I know during the World Series, KRLD-FM did not block KESN or KAAM from running the MLB on ESPN radio feed of the World Series.
