NBA PLayoffs?

I just hope the media in OKC is promoting the Thunder wall to wall. Ya know that everytime the Oklahoma City name on each basketball jersey flashed on the TV screen on Sunday, it was "cha-ching" for OKC. It sent a message OKC is with the big boys. Wall to wall coverage...cha ching

Speaking of the Thunder. I find it surprising that you have to go and hunt, and hunt, and hunt on the Thunder's website to find which radio stations are airing their games, besides WWLS.

Well, I think that's because in OKC, the games are heard only on WWLS. Otherwise, the games are on the Sports Animal Network. But I agree, they could throw a list on the website under the Game Night tab to make it easier.

Are they on 97.1 in the Tulsa area?

I caught them on ESPN radio last Saturday night (likely because it's the tournament, I understand that). Either my seek didn't stop on 1550 (certainly possible in Owasso) or they weren't carrying it.

Shamefully, it never crossed my mind to check the FM dial. I dealt with 1300's noise, static, & fade until I could get home to a TV.

Petulantly bitter much? More big names come in concert to the BOk Center than the Ford Center, so I'd say we're even. And no, it's not because of conflicts with the Thunder's schedule. And you got Conan O'Brien too!

I don't know how well it does, but I believe you can see Thunder games on TV in Tulsa, too. I know you could their first season, and I know you could see Hornets games on TV in Tulsa during the two seasons they played in OKC. In the end, the games will go away from both TV and radio in Tulsa if no one there cares.

I don't know if you were trying to imply geography was an issue, but, if you were, I can tell you that has little bearing as to the extent of the fan base. As an example, the Tennessee Titans play in Nashville, but they've got plenty of fans in Memphis and Knoxville, too. You definitely see more Titans apparel on the shelves in Memphis and Knoxville than I see Rams and Chiefs clothing where I live, and I'm much closer to both Kansas City and St. Louis than Memphis and Knoxville are to Nashville.

I would think people over most of the state would care (enough for games to be on the air) as long as they're winning. I heard a rumor that the Topeka cable system was carrying some of the Thunder games. Not sure if it was true or not.
