NBC 12~Sixty~15~Ten

So just who is the NBC radio affiliate in the East Valley? KBSZ in Apache Junction or KFNN in Mesa? Both run NBC news hourly, and only one can be heard in their city of license at night (except between 5:15 and 6pm in December). The Nurse and I had no idea how popular NBC radio is these days....guess that means we'll be able to catch Monitor this weekend :D

I don't think CNN has ever required exclusivity in a market, unlike the "traditional"
radio networks. Of course the current "NBC News Radio" or "NBC Radio Network
News" or whatever it's called is related in name brand only to the original NBC
Radio Network.

And yes, I'm sure looking forward to hearing that Monitor beacon this weekend
with Gene Rayburn playing that wonderful (blank) music. ;)

Back when CNN Radio first launched, Gary Edens signed up KOY and demanded exclusivity. That remained in force until the last contract he signed expired. He may have been the only one with a deal like that.
