And yes, "Smash" will return after New Year's Day.

Fast Forward "The New Normal" 12 years into the future and you have "My Two Dads." :D

Nothing on that list that grabs my attention, except maybe football.

Generally lame. Can't see how "Revolution" can be made into a series although it might make a good TV movie. Same with "Animal House". I'm really tired of the gay agenda although I don't have a problem with gays as a group. The jokes have already been told more than a few times. And how many times have we had shows like "Emergency!"?

NBC will remain a bottom dweller.

Pardon me, this is how I would re-schedule their lineup:

It seems strange that NBC is not putting a drama on Thu night at 10pm. I've already commented on The Office way past its prime. Maybe Kathy Bates could go back there with her own show cancelled. Community to Friday nights will be interesting. I take it that it will be its last season.

Didn't something like this already get covered by a show CBS did some years ago called "Jericho"...where the residents of a little town in the midwest cope with life in a post-nuclear war United States, in which much of the modern technology got wiped out?

So much for originality......

Respecting your opinion highly, I think it would be smarter to stick with a brand new show for 8pm Tuesday.
It looks like NBC is at least smart enough to not try putting an L&O show up against NCIS.

If it's their honest effort to suggest that there's something there for everyone and it works, good for them! 8)

Thanks for the feedback! Actually, putting Community on Tuesday at 8 is a very risky move! But putting it on at 8 on Fridays is even riskier considering that a majority of its target audience is out during that time. Chances are its dead after this season.

I'm glad to see Parenthood coming back. That's my favorite show on NBC. Also the Chicago Fire show sounds interesting. We have more than enough cop shows, so this will be a nice change of pace.

30 Rock's next season is it's last for certain with fewer episodes then. I can't imagine NBC renewing The Office another year more, but who knows. Community will be on its last season. I like Parks and Rec, but I think creatively it peaked last season. Ratings wise, audiences still want the familiarity of The Office even though the episodes are dreadful. But it's still NBC's top comedy on its lineup.

NBC should have atleast tried Parks and Rec. once at 9pm to see how it could do, if timeslotting it at 9 would make a significant difference that it could get the same ratings as The Office of this season. If it couldn't manage, then The Office audience simply isn't accepting it.

Perhaps a schedule purge will happen the season after next season.

I actually like Community. Putting it up against TBBT on CBS was stupid, as I think they both attract the same type of audience. I hate it's on Friday night, but that's what the DVR is for.

Me too, except I would leave Whitney on Friday nights and put "Go On" on Wednesday.

Sony is preparing to make "Community" ready for syndication in 2013, which may also explain NBC's reason for renewing the sitcom so they can get the maximum amount of episodes needed for syndication. Plus its no secret that both Fey and Baldwin have hinted about ending "30 Rock" since the fourth season, so that is no surprise and I don't blame them.

Like what? Aside from Third Watch and Rescue Me I can't think of any other show over the past 30 years that has featured firefighters. We have about 10 different cop/detective/CSI/NCIS shows airing currently, so enough with the police dramas. This will be a welcome change.
