NBC 7/39 has horrible graphics

I can't stand it! Hey KNSD: You're in a Top 20 market (and the 21st Century)! Act like it. Get with the program. Spend a little money on your product. Get HD. Get better transitions. Figure out if you want your bug/logo on the left or right bottom corner during the newscast. Figure out if you want it to say "San Diego" in cursive or "nbcsd.com" in plain font. Be consistent and stop firing your local staff.

Thank you.

San Diego is not a top 20 market--I think it's more like 27 or 28, so don't expect LA quality newscasts, if that's a good thing....

San Diego is the 17th radio market, 28th TV market.

NBC 7/39 is really looking more and more dog earred these days.

All of their graphics are the boilerplate graphics which are used by all the O/O NBC Universal stations, including news jingles, etc. If memory serves me correctly, all of their over-the-shoulders and other graphics are developed by NBC's TV graphics unit which I believe is in Dallas, Tx.

That said, it is really sad to see what was an excellent station turn to crap. They are getting rid of their top tier people and all what is left are the newbies and segments taped in LA....

I have no concept of why they have that cursive stuff on their evening newscasts....but I have no concept of what they are trying to do except be a broadcaster of commercials.

Speaking of NBC 7/39. Why doesn't NBC 7/39 produce a weekend morning and evening newscast anymore? The only newscast that they produce for the weekend is 11pm newscast.

Ask NBC Universal.

Those newscasts and Ken Kramer's "About San Diego" were cancelled several months ago.

They are really downsizing over at NBC 7/39.
