NBC Commanding $1 Million Per Ad For Thanksgiving Night Game

A new Thanksgiving Night Tradition begins. .... after the dinner we can see some Prime Time Football before going to the malls for Black Friday.

@TVCool: If the tryptophan from the turkey doesn't knock people out for the night, counting the number of advertisers touting "Black Friday" sales the next day starting in a few hours during the game will be more effective than counting sheep!

Guess this will be the first year for Black Friday calls to action in the beer/mid-life-crisis-car commercials.
"Kick off your holidays" indeed.
Thankfully I've never seen an e.d.pill ad on a football game (never really looked though, honestly), or I'd expect them there too.

I think you've nailed the reason why NBC will get every penny of that $1 million ad price, and then some. Seriously, this particular game (played annually) might be an easier sell than the Super Bowl, of which NBC would only get every three years or so.
