NBC Daytime To Get New Show

And it's not a soap, and it's supposed to be "secret" but it's been leaked to the New York Post:

The show, to be called "Fresh Squeezed," will air far away from the traffic jam of the established magazine shows, "Entertainment Tonight," "Access Hollywood," "Extra" and "E! News" at 7 p.m.

" 'Fresh Squeezed' will be a one-hour daily news and entertainment program," the network said.

Although I would expect some pre-emptions of this. Owners like Gannett and Post-Newsweek have stated that although they are more than happy Passions is gone, they aren't too happy about the 4th hour of Today, and have stated they may air the 4th hour in the afternoon because many of their NBC stations(ie KUSA and WXIA) have local talk shows. That link is here:

1. The New York Post is not to be trusted. They are owned by the Fox Noise folk. They hate NBC.

2. I assume if true they are talking syndication and not network. I thought FCC rules prohibited networks from programming the 7 PM hour (except on Sundays)

3. WXIA's local paid-time show airs at 11 AM. Martha Stewart airs at 10. WXIA carries a 7 PM newscast. They also own WATL now, so there could be a lot of flexability (same in Denver with KTVD).

4. NBC owns "Access Hollywood" which is syndicated. Would they cancel that in favor of this.

This show is not intended to air in the 7:00 hour.

Correct. This show is supposed to air during the daytime hours, not in primetime, hence the title of this thread.

And I am very well aware of NY Post being tabloid trash. It's been like that for many many years now.

I see two possible scenarios in Atlanta:

1. If "Fresh Squeezed" is syndicated, WXIA
may elect to pass and move Martha to 2 PM,
where she'd air back-to-back with Rachael Ray
at 3; "FS" ends up somewhere else in Atlanta
(except on WSB, which never changes its daytime
lineup, it seems).

2. If "Fresh Squeezed" is a network show, Martha
ends up on WATL, and "FS" airs at 2 PM.

But if all this is rumor, all bets are off but I think
Martha would go to 2 PM, since "Atlanta & Company"
would be on after the fourth hour of "Today"
(11 AM).
