NBC Entertainment chief fired

Anyone who is surprised by this has been living under a rock since the end of "Seinfeld".

And just what did he do to even merit an extension?

Seems like deja vu all over again; think back
to NBC's problems in the late '70s/early '80s,
and the firing of Fred Silverman.

Now when do the affiliate switches start? :)

I doubt there will be any switches, since in the bigger markets, NBC owns many of their affiliates, and in the smaller ones, there is nothing left to go to. Here where I live, the Fox station is very happy with Fox, the NBC station is under contract and I don't seen the ABC/CBS combo switching, since both of those are doing okay, and affiliate swaps can be expensive. I'd give it another year before that happens.
