NBC gets sued over "To Catch A Predator"

http://www.movieweb.com/tv/news/89/21289.php (Second Story)

The sister of one of the predators that was was featured on "To Catch A Predator"...after he killed himself...is suing NBC for $100 Million.

The predator involved was the assistant District Attorney in Texas that committed suicide prior to showing up to the sting house.

Many people suspected they would get sued by a suspect over the series.

He was "caught in the act. " Too bad for the guy. The daughter is just a golddigger with an ambitious attorney.

FACT: ANYBODY can sue ANYBODY.

It doesn't mean the suit is worth anything.

The problem becomes it costs to defend a lawsuit in money and publicity. NBC will most likely settle out of court for some money rather than risk the bad publicity. Then it will give others the idea and well you see where it's heading...

NBC has a few DOZEN lawyers on staff. It's NOT a big deal. They get sued frequently for much bigger and much less.

We are all the victims for having this garbage foisted upon us.
Is bringing perverts to light a good thing?
Yes.
Is it something a network news program should be doing?
No.
They should be going out and actually be doing leg work and chasing down stories instead of this lazy journotainment.
