NBC Halts Production On Conan's "Outlaw"

I would think bad blood between NBC and Conan may also be part of it...

Gee, ya think? Is it any wonder why NBC parked the show on one of the least-watched broadcast network nights of the week from the getgo?

Basic business, pure and simple. If it did well, it wouldn't be on death's door.

But considering that the show was scheduled on Friday night, one of two death nights for television, I would think NBC pushed the series under the bus.

Funny, CSI NY and Blue Bloods seem to be doing ok on Friday. People will come to the shows that night--yes, in lower numbers, but if Outlaw drew close to what either of those shows has been getting, it would be chugging along for a bit longer.

There's only so much real estate. Three of those hours will be on Friday. Other shows have--and will--go into that real estate; every one of them is not being somehow punished because of who the titular head of the production company is.

Hey, now that NBC has officially cancelled "Outlaw", wouldn't it be funny to see the show revived on TNT - sister network of Conan's new home, TBS? ::)
I watched a couple of episodes of "Outlaw" and I was not the least bit impressed with it. I predicted it would be one of the first shows cancelled this season. It was not that great of a show and I just don't see TNT picking it up with the NBA season starting at the end of the month and TNT already has a several nights of Original Programming FAR SUPERIOR than "Outlaw".
