NBC-MGM relation by Comcast?

According to wikipedia.org, this Comcast owns twenty percent of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. If Comcast buys half of NBC-Universal, wouldn't this mean that the networks of NBC and MGM be partially co-owned?

When the heck did MGM become a network?
Consider the alleged source (To which the OP never posted a link backing up their claim I might add  ) - WIKIPEDIA

Normally a very handy & useful reference website when the information is reliable BUT.....

Cheers :D

MGM-HD movie channel

http://www.britannica.com/bps/additionalcontent/18/32454978/Comcast-Signs-Up-for-MGM-HD-Channel

Summary:
The article reports that Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) has signed an affiliate agreement with Comcast that allows the nation's biggest cable operator to carry high-definition (HD) movie channel MGM HD and offer hundreds of movies to subscribers in HD through its on-demand service. Comcast helped a Sony-led consortium buy MGM in 2004 and owns 20% of the studio.

Ok, your definition of a network completely differs from mine if you use that one. I consider a network to be an entity that at least offers some original programming and not just stuff out of their library. A quick Google search shows me that this is just a movie channel and doesn't seem to be much different from Turner Classic or AMC (minus the commercials).
