NBC Moves Emmy Awards To August

So as not to conflict with their "Sunday Night Football" franchise, NBC - which will carry the Emmys in 2010 - has moved the awards broadcast, which traditionally takes place in September, to August 29 of next year.

This actually will not be the first time the network made this decision. NBC pulled the same move in 2006, and it turned out to be the most-watched Emmy show in four years.

Anyone think this will be the lowest-rated Emmy telecast ever?

Well, NBC showed this year's Golden Globes live on the West Coast as well!

But I guess the Academy Awards are still broadcast live only in the Lower 48; Alaska and Hawaii see it on tape delay later in the evening, because airing it live at 4:00 pm and 3:00 respectively would create problems.
