Isn't the current Fox News based in the Fox Corporation office in NYC? NYC>DC>LA now?
I knew Fox used to have their main base in the Los Angeles Area but that's when they held 20th Century Fox and the Regional Fox Sports outlets.
Most of what you see on the FNC Channel takes place in their studios on Avenue of the Americas. However, as I said, Tucker Carlson comes from the DC studio on Cap Hill. Britt Hume and several others are in DC. Fox doesn't do an evening news for affiliates. The primary news programming is for FNC. Nothing I'm aware of originates in LA.
Yes I knew DC and NYC is where Fox News has its original programming though. Maybe that LA Reference is probably when Fox News has to borrow someone from KTTV Fox 11 News for a West Coast segment?
That's partly what they did during the earthquake. Although initially I think they ran K-CAL.
Most of FOX Sports offices, including a couple studios, are based out of Los Angeles. They were trying to hire me a few years ago but didn't want to pay enough, given the level of responsibility, let alone to cover the high cost of living in LA.
Their corporate offices are: 1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, 10036. FOX Sports and Entertainment have offices in Los Angeles and Phoenix Arizona.
I think Fox didn't actually sell the lot, but give Disney a ten year lease.
NBC still has a presence in New Jersey through the NBCUniversal Technology Center on the CNBC campus in Englewood Cliffs. Besides the CNBC headquarters, master control and uplink for the NBCUniversal cable channels is located there. Englewood Cliffs is also the backup site for NBC and Telemundo master control should the Dry Creek facility in Colorado go offline.
You mean Fox News used segments from CBSN LA in the Ridgecrest Quake until the KTTV staff took over and did segments on the national Fox News.
You mean when Fox Network was located at Metro media square with KTTV? But that probably been changed though given that Disney just took over the 20th Century Fox Lot in Century City and Fox is named only as the landlord of 20th Century Fox. The current TV Network for Fox is now in New York though. The only things Fox Corp has in Los Angeles is the west coast branch of Fox News, Fox Sports and KTTV Fox 11.

Not sure if it's directly related to the Fox Disney deal or not though.
That is an interesting move to have master control for NBC Network in the Denver area though given that NBC does not have an O&O in the area.
I always assumed master control for Fox was in LA.
Lots of media companies have their head end in Colorado. That's where John Malone and Liberty Media is based. It's centrally located, and I imagine the tax laws are better than either of the coasts.
They moved there because Comcast had already had two critical technical facilities there for quite a while, both the Dry Creek facility in Centennial, Colorado and the Titan earth station in Littleton, Colorado (both are named after the roads they are located along). Both facilities are critical to Comcast's operations, since national channels that Comcast cable systems carry are received either by satellite or fiber at Dry Creek and/or Titan, re-encoded, transcoded to 720p in the case of 1080i channels, and then sent out via Comcast's nationwide fiber backbone to the regional and local Comcast headends around the country.
Edit: I should also add that NBCUniversal has owned Denver TV station KDEN since 2006. The station is based out of the Dry Creek facility as well.

Apparently Fox Television Center only holds Fox Sports, KTTV Fox 11 News and the West Coast Branch for Fox News. I'm guessing that used to be true when it was on Metromedia square or the 20th Century Lot but that's not the case anymore.
