NBC News Radio affiliates?

Has anyone out there heard any word as to what stations in the region will be NBC News Radio affiliates as of next week?

WTKK 96.9 Boston is one; they had been running CNN. Last night I tuned in around 2 am and heard
them do their ID, and then heard only the second and third notes of the famous N-B-C chimes
(potted it up slightly late). "NBC News Radio..."

I remember NBC radio when it was at NBC. They dumped it all around 1987 just before the FCC deregulated it. Network radio on the 5th floor and local on the 2nd floor.

The local FM was on the 7th floor. Saw Bruce Bradley there and we talked about the SunDeck studio at WBZ.

NBC is getting back into radio?

Somewhat. Not like the old days when they owned stations and handled their own sales and distribution. But the new NBC News is at least produced with NBC News input, not like the fake NBC News that was just a brand licensed by Westwood One and its successors. (In fact, at one point it was identical to Mutual news except for the open and close.) And the NBC Sports is another new venture for them. But don't look for a return of Talknet, The Source, News and Information Service or Monitor Weekends.
