NBC News TODAY New Graphics

It looks like they have outsourced their news to MSNBC from the look of these graphics. Why couldn't they be a least a little bit more unique? How long until it says "From MSNBC, this is the morning news on NBC with Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews"

Kinda like how ABC has "outsourced" its sports to ESPN?

hey, it's the "Official" Color of LIBERALISM! from nbc news.

I don't find Today particularly liberal. Matt certainly has his conservative views! Now MSNBC is another story, but it's just trying to find a niche (just as Fox News has on the far right).

Yeah, I think some people are reading more into this than needs to be. From my humble perspective, look at GMA on ABC. Bright orange. I think this is just a response to GMA, trying to use another warm color.

As for MSNBC...interesting dynamic going on. You can watch their daytime newscasts and unless you look really deep, seem to be quite fair and unbiased. But as soon as 8pm Eastern hits, that is all out the window. IMO, the politcal skew with the Olbermann show is twice what it is on Fox. Perhaps they feel they have to go further because they are the underdog. But why not just add to the graphics of these nets, MSNBC, "The Liberal News Network", and Fox, "The Conservative News Network". It certainly would be more clear and more defining. But it will never happen because these nets are playing games with the audience. As they probably should, to maximize ratings.
