NBC Nightly News and MSNBC ready for their new digs

Both NBC Nightly News and MSNBC will be in their new studios on Monday. On Friday, Brian Williams played a gag on the audience on Nightly News by pretending to show the new studio, only for it to be "locked".

I happen to catch Morning Joe today and the new studio looks great although a bit compact, imo.

Has anyone notice that the desks (or tables) and chairs get change around during the breaks? That and the constant movement in the background kind of bug me a bit.

I think that they hired the set designer from "Deal or No Deal". :D

I loved it when the whole set turned "red" during Breaking News! ;D

I watched Olbermann last night and noticed how much smaller the new studio is.

Aside from the window in the background looking out on New York (which he joked about by saying, "And now it's time to take a look at the weather," at which point he turned around and looked out on the city below), the set looks somewhat similar to the old Letterman set from his NBC days.

Haven't seen the NBC Nightly News set, since they're broadcasting from the fires in San Diego.

Countdown with Keith Olberman originates from the upper level of Studio 1A. This is the upper level corner area of the Today Show studio. It's also where Lester Holt has been originating the weekend editions of NBC Nightly News. That is a real window behind Keith.
