NBC SCRIPTED SERIES NOTHING TO CROW ABOUT

Tvbythenumbers keeps track of their take on the potential renewal of programs.
Here's how NBC 2011-12 season is stacking up.
http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/12/13/nbc-community-upgraded-to-likely-to-be-renewed/113574/

Chuck......final season

cancelled......Free Agents, Playboy Club, Prime Suspect

likely to be cancelled......Harry's Law

at the bottom of likely to be renewed........Community, Grim

awaiting new time slot results........Up All Night, Whitney

probable renewal (starting at the top).....The Office, Law & Order SVU, Parenthood, Parks & Recreation

How sad is it when your top scripted show appears to be The Office, which most agree is probably on it's last leg? NBC is really making CBS, ABC & FOX look pretty good.

I just read somewhere that Chris Meloni (L&O SVU) was going to star in some sort of vampire show. I assumed that meant he was leaving L&O and/or that L&O was ending. No?

He actually left the series at the end of last season.

The last couple of Communitys were pretty good. However, the show isn't mainstream. Maybe it could have fit with a cable network or even a channel like Starz. On the other hand, The Office is getting pretty old, but NBC doesn't even want to move Park & Rec (a better show now) to 9pm. More viewers probably watch The Office out of habit and familiarity so it still beats all of NBC's other comedies.

Perhaps the point I am trying to makes is that probably none of these shows would make
it to renewal if they were on CBS. It's because they are on low rated NBC that they even
have a chance. Now, if they were on the CW........that's another story.

Only CBS, ABC & FOX ??

NBC is SO BAD they're making THE CW look good !!!

Cheers & 73 ;D

I was thinking:

Who's genius idea at NBC was it to premiere a show about musical theatre AFTER the Super Bowl? I know they're trying to help out Steven Spielberg, but I don't see many die-hard football fans staying tuned (two completely different audiences)!

In the spirit of the Match Game thread, "How BAD is it?" :D

Actually, the Super Bowl is such a monsterously huge event that many people across all demos are watching, young women included. "Glee" pulled in three times their normal audience when airing after the Super Bowl last year, even though its content and demos would suggest that its vastly different from football's demos.
