NBC shoud dump the eniter Law & Order Franchise so it would thrive on cable

Outside of Law & Order SVU, the entire franchise is suffering.

If I were in NBC here's what I would DO:

Since the franchise is still popular all around cable I would

CANCEL ALL THREE SHOWS and take Law & Order SVU and Law & Order CI and

make new episodes available and ready to go for USA and Bravo Networks.

Then let TNT take the original one and air new episodes and TV movies

to their heart's desire.

TNT=Law & Order
USA=Law & Order SVU
Bravo=Law & Order CI
Court TV=REVIVE LAW & ORDER TRIAL BY JURY

With all due respect, that's about the silliest comment I've ever heard.
The only reason they have cable properties is because of their merger with Universal.

As for their existing properties, CNBC is the laughing stalk of Cable News, and MSNBC can't be too far behind!

As for your comment, that's like telling GM they should stop selling cars because they're having a bad year, or that Clear channel should just focus on satellite radio because KIIS FM had a few bad books. Really, the world worked on that concept, there'd be no one left!!!!

No, You need to say more, and that is not a fair statement. TV is subjective, and just because you don't like certain shows should not mean we all have to suffer with what you like!

Also, TNT isn't an NBCU product. So to take your analogy further, it would be like GM ceasing production of its cars under any of its brands and instead allowing Ford to sell the Mercury Yukon.

I agree. They should dump Law & Order CI, and concentrate on the other two, and leave them on NBC. I have no use for a product that I have to pay for, when I can get the same product for free (that being a television signal), and I want good programs on the free, over-the-air television system. As long as we have advertising, that will be fine. The more good programs migrate to cable, the more infomercials and low-rated programming we'll have to put up on over-the-air stations.

I have a bare minimum use for cable, mainly on-demand news and weather, and even then that is diminishing due to the Internet. The only exception I make is for movies and live sporting events. I stick to a cluster of local stations, and if there's nothing good on, then there's an opportunity to do something more constructive.<P ID="signature">______________

OT: Knowing how GM operates, the "Mercury Yukon" could end up being made--right alongside the Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Oldsmobile Bravada*, Saab 9-7X, and Isuzu Ascender.
