NBC Sports Moving To Stamford, Conn.

Keep in mind that Dannel M. Malloy (D) current Governor of Connecticut previously served 14 years as mayor of Stamford, so he probably had some pull in this.

Plus Stamford is also home to NBC-Universal's Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, and Maury Povich shows. The shared studio for the 3 trash talkers are just a chair's throw away from the Stamford Amtrak station.

NYC is simply getting too expensive for doing business, and most certainly too expensive to live in. We may see an exodus of many more businesses in the coming years.

Recent noise from NY politicians about raising taxes is simply accelerating the trend. The economy still stinks, and companies are looking for any way to cut costs.

Yes, WWE is at 1241 East Main Street in Stamford, Exit 9 from I-95 near the Darien, CT town line. I think the access towards Maury and Jerry (Springer) would be from Exit 7 near the train and bus stations. I'm rarely in that city outside of Amtrak, Metro North (train) and I-95, so I'm not sure on the Maury/Jerry part.

The good news .More jobs in CT.If they expand from the NY location. Now we need CBS Sports,Fox Sports to come here.CT will be the Sports broadcasting capital of the world.

Nah; CBS Sports and Fox Sports are fine where they are (the latter is actually based in Los Angeles).

An all-sports network based in CT? It'll never work. ;D

I see where you're coming from. It's a crazy idea! Kinda like that one southern guy who started a 24 hour cable news channel... in Georgia of all places! ;)

It would only be crazy if said conservative southern media mogul guy married a left leaning activist. The world doesn't revolve like that.

Then explain the success of James Carville and Mary Matalin on that network founded by the power couple you speak of. ::)
