NBC Taps Lilly Singh to Replace Carson Daly in Late Night

WOW...this is a shocker. Perhaps Carson was getting sick and tired of the insomniac audience and wanted to go do something else. Lilly Singh is another one of those 'YouTube stars', not sure how many people will be up at 1:30 in the morning, but of course there's always the DVR.

Carson appears to be downsizing his life these days. A few years ago he gave up his morning radio show. Now it's the late night TV show. All that's left is his hosting of The Voice and the annual New Year's Eve show. Had lost track of how many years he'd been doing the late night show. The article says 17 years. I haven't watched in probably ten of those. The show became less interesting as he focused on unknown rock acts. Apparently he had cut his role in the show to just an open and close starting in 2013. The new show sounds like a return to what it used to be, which was a talk show.

Yes but he's not the host.

i wouldn't be surprise if they are grooming him up to host one of the later hours of Today, cause Megan Kelly Today was a major flop on which NBC was thankful for the Blackface controversy to happen as they knew she wasn't doing well on her hour of Today and they were just looking for a excuse to cancel it and the excuse came in the form of a racially insensitive subject matter that made people upset.
