NBC/Telemundo Buying KDEN-25

Realizing that I'm scooping our own Dawn H. (and other Denver board regulars) with the news, NBC has announced that it has acquired KDEN-25 (this is a link to an NBC press release), and that once NBC takes over ownership, the station will switch from home shopping to Telemundo, giving Telemundo a stronger over-the-air presence in metropolitan Denver.

Until now, Telemundo has only been seen over-the-air in Denver on low-power stations.

First KTVD, now KDEN.. That is just something.. Will at least now Channel 25 is going to be something instead of nothing.

NBC didn't buy KTVD. Gannett Broadcasting Co, the owners of KUSA/9News bought KTVD. NBC is just KUSA's affiliated network.<P ID="signature">______________

NBC isn't buying KTVD. Gannett, who owns KUSA 9, the local NBC affiliate, is.
