NBC to rename other Regional sports nets as NBC Sports Net "Regional Edition"

NBC is doing what Fox Sports does with their RSN's Fox Sports Detroit. I wonder if NBC Sports will expand their RSN's in other cities?

Yes, that's what the linked article in the OP says.

So this is a branding thing. They have already replaced the Comcast name with Xfinity for cable. Now they're rebranding the various local Comcast sports networks as NBC Sports. Any sports programming in the company will be called NBC Sports Net. Actually I've been seeing the peacock logo on these networks for a long time already.
