Can you believe they are starting this Thursday March 5th " Take 6 on 6" with Gerry V ? What are they nuts ? You mean to tell me they are going to allow me to give my opinion on 6 questions during the 10pm hour ?? In a 4 to 5 minute segement I will have the freedom to "Yak away " on a variety of sports issues ( will of course sneak in a political issue).....it will air on Thursday and Sunday nights.

Fletcher Mackel will be tossing the questions at me and I will fire away with thoughts and opinions. Seriously I want to thank NBC TV 6 New Orleans for its willingness to play " outside the box" and allow me to do this.It will be a fast paced segement and allow me to further explore and express my thoughts on the air. WRNO 99.5 New Orleans allows me to have fun on Sat and Sundays on the radio side and also thanks to you folks for your support.... ( ok some of you at least )

This is cool. Do you need a side-kick? If so, I have a little (okay, a lot) of time on my hands. I’ll work cheap. Heck, right now I’m working for $.08 per day as it is!
 
Congrats V-Man! You being on might actually make me want to watch WDSU News (at least on Thursday and Sunday - although Rachel Wulff is brutal - so maybe just Thursdays)

whoa................thats brutal man even though it may be true.:D out of channel 6 and channel 4......channel 6 has a better newscast in my opinion. 4 has a dark and worn out news set that they just keep updating and remodeling. with the new graphics i thought we would see an entirely new set shortly after. to my dismay i was disappointed to see the same ol same ol redone.............again.
how old is angela hill anyway like 80????

It's okay if you don't answer every question with an "A" at the end of it like the Mackel twins do.
I know they are local, but they get on every last nerve with their overaccentuating lines and sounding like they are just about yelling.
The only real asset Channel 6 has is Melanie Hebert !

Agreed! My guess is they're stretching that set to the bone because Belo spent so much on the new transmitter/tower facility and they still have yet to build a new state-of-the-art building to move out. They've only got so much room in that French Quarter location. Historic, but getting too small.

LOL As far as Angela Hill goes, she's not that old, but she is a very nice lady. I met her once, as well as Alec Gifford from WDSU. They both are so down to earth and very genuine people.

I see Melanie and her folks all the time at the polls. I work the precinct at Pard Playground in Marrero. Kriss Fairbairn and her husband John Fortunato come in all the time as well. They too, are nice people.
 
I agree on the local women Melanie and Lucy... that is definitely something you don't see in Iowa newscasts.. two local women who are hot (even though Melanie did make her fame in Cali first)

But yeah heard it this morning about the V man on WDSU.. now if we could only see the V man we get here on there, lets just say CBS thought they had a fine with the wardrobe malfunction ;D

stand or sit ? serious or just let it rip ? foreign accent or regular ? smoke a cigar or not ? jes folks lots of decesions to make! a lil help here please !!! ???
 
Since you'll probably only be seen from mid chest up, the fishnets and heels won't help. You could try a nice lace teddy or just go with a simple and understated bra. If you're going to go eye liner, do the full bore Marylin Manson thang. Don't go too bright with the lipstick. It's obnoxious. And please, if you're doing anything that exposes chest, then one word. WAX!!

You already have a foreign accent Mr. Bronx.

My question is, "why wax"? Just go after the Becky Allen look. She could give a makeup tip or two. And if the V-man is good, we'll fly him in a sandwich from Defonte's in Red Hook. Ever woof one of them down, V?
